The Story of She + Me = Us

I am proud to say that I am in a successful relationship. Today I realized why my relationship is successful. Most people attempt to add someone to their own world rather than building a world together. In other words, that love interest becomes a co-star rather than your entire story meshing with his/her story and thus becoming a new story about the both of you together. 

She loves tango. I have taken up tango. 

I am heavily invested in politics. She has also recently become more invested in politics.

I make her tapes of recent CDs I've purchase for her to listen to. 

She cooks things that she likes that I haven't tried before.

We watch many of the same shows.

We shop together.

We cook together.

We clean up together.

We take care of each other.

I think the openness that we have to allow our worlds to intertwine holds us together like no marriage certificate or offspring ever could.

Now this isn't to say that we don't have our own separate lives. When she and I aren't together, we are the people we have always been, but with a little extra shine that we get from spending quality time and being loved by one another.

Shout out to mi amor. You know who you are.

A: So what's up, man?

B: Baby raped me.

A: What? You got raped by a baby?

B: No. Her name is Baby.

A: So you got raped by a baby named Baby?

B: No! The bitch's name is Baby that raped me.

I know I'm late but I have to say my piece..

I personally would never hit a woman. I wouldn't put my hands on any other individual unless it was to defend myself..

However..

She got what was coming to her. Any individual, man or female, that thinks it's OK to provoke someone deserves pretty much whatever happens next. And to be fair, whatever happens to the bus driver after this altercation is what he deserves. People, especially people who were raised with a fight mode like a light switch, need to understand that there are consequences for your actions.

Also, while I'm on the subject, I want women to understand something. You can't have the equality you want without the consequence that comes along with it. Most women would argue that women are equal to men.. But once something like this happens, the whole "she's a female" bullshit comes out of the woodwork. I believe someone bigger shouldn't beat up on someone smaller, but that whole male and female thing is done. If you are big and bad enough to provoke someone bigger and badder than you, you deserve a lesson in big and badness.. Gender's got nothing to do with it.

You are outstandingly intelligent and talented. You are an individual. As bland as that sounds, it's a hard quality to find these days.
